A small dressing table is nice for a woman to have in a bedroom, because it provides her with a moment to pause, reflect, and do something to pamper herself. Women who never take this spontaneous moments to brash her hair, put on lipstick, dub on perfume, or file their nails are missing the soothing joy of little indulgences. Certain activities are more gracious when you are seated because you are more at ease than when standing. A dressing table in a bedroom too small for a desk can double as a writing table.
